I visited 12 small towns/villages in Michigan that do not have a single Korean living there. There are over 250 cities/towns/villages in Michigan without a single Korean. I wore a “traditional” Korean outfit called a hanbok and took self portraits, something that’s very uncomfortable and out of character for me because I don’t like looking in the mirror.
The hanbok was purchased on Amazon, and it’s secondary use was “halloween costume”. Sometimes it feels as if I’m wearing a halloween costume in the middle of summer, or playing a caricature of a Korean.
